Plant Procurement Manager

The role of the Plant Procurement Manager is to organise the local plant buyers to manage and monitor all plant issues in line with Group Purchasing policy, to improve Cost and Delivery performance, manage the entire commercial relationship for local suppliers, and support the category team to manage global suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor the execution of the cost productivity actions for plant.
  • Escalate issues to Geographical Purchasing Coordinator and/or Global Category Managers
  • Manage and develop the local team of plant buyers
  • Represent purchasing in cost reduction workshops and ensure that identified opportunities are executed
  • Propose and validate with the commodity team the cost productivity actions for the plant
  • Cover all purchasing activities for series materials modification requests
  • Implement agreements for indirect materials and services by performing RFQs, analyzing supplier quotations, and negotiating the best global commercial conditions.

You will need:

  • Work intimately with the internal requisitioners to steer the selection of suppliers and utilize this leverage to obtain best cost competitive pricing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Provide the category management team with the plant information to allow the definition of global sourcing strategies strategies
  • Create the proper orders and contracts, in cooperation with legal, by be approved by the procurement hierarchy
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to continually improve suppliers service levels and reduce risk
  • Support the material planner in supply crisis management and make sure the proper escalation is made.
  • Ensure that all relevant supplier and material information is available in the local ERP to ensure proper ordering, invoicing and cost control.
  • Resolve payment /invoice issues with supply base
  • Ensure procurement compliance with all governmental, regulatory, and company procedures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance and provide support for all procurement-related audit requirements, both internal and external, e. g. ISO14001 and IATFI6949.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
