Maintenance Electrician

This position is responsible for performing and following prescribed procedures, policies, and pertinent electrical codes to trouble shoot, repair, install and inspect equipment as required to maintain and repair production equipment and production facility.
Key responsibilities:
This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position will be responsible to perform and execute safe work practices, support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment repairs and projects and work closely with engineering. The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for the installation of new equipment and maintaining existing equipment, as well as calibrating equipment as needed for commissioning of equipment.
Comply with all Johnson Matthey Hazardous Waste procedures, Life Saving Policies, State and Federal regulatory requirements.
Follow daily instructions to support production, engineering and QC including scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspections needing performed.
Inspect plant equipment, electrical circuits, determine and install replacement materials, select logical approach to troubleshooting and repair.
Consider all safety precautions and proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimal interference to production operations.
Dismantle, inspect repairs, adjust, or replace faulty parts and wiring on motors, generators, power distribution, and variable frequency drives.
Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures, wires and connects electrical equipment as required for new and existing equipment and/or facility.
Perform repairs, adjustments, etc. to automated electrical equipment components such as AC/DC inverters, drives, SCR units, and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Be an effective trainer for new hires.
Are you the ideal candidate?
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years Technical Degree or Trade School
Minimum 2 years' experience in Industrial Maintenance Operation.
Must demonstrate a comprehensive electrical aptitude along with a basic mechanical aptitude.
Candidate must demonstrate comprehensive skills from past hands-on experience in Industrial Electrical / Electricians role.
Demonstrate advanced electrical skills with ability to troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage control systems.
Read and comprehend complex electrical and mechanical drawings.
Demonstrate basic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and power distribution systems.
Exhibit specialty skills in air compressors, plumbing, welding and grinding.
Display comprehensive computer skills.
Possess good communication skills and ability to work well as a member of a team.
Must be able to lift/move heavy objects, climb ladders and work at heights as needed.
Ability to work a 2-2-3 patterned schedule.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
